Portuguese Colonies Sperati forged the 400 reis surcharge used by several colonies in 1902. A single 25r overprinted stamp of Angola was reported in Sperati II as well as the proof shown below. Other forgeries could exists from these colonies as well: Angola, Cape Verde, Mozambique, Portuguese Congo, Portuguese Guinea, St. Thomas and Prince, and Zambesia. The 1902 "6 avos" surcharge forgery was first reported in Sperati II based on a negative in the Paris Museum. Examples may exist for Macao or Timor. page thumbnail: |
